Panoramic Photography

The term ‘panoramic’ simply put means a wide broad sweeping view surrounding the observer or an unbroken view.

The format allows for a wide composition of the given subject matter.   The images are made by stitching multiple individual photographs together to form a horizontal composition of the scene. There is no hard and fast rule as to how many images, that depends on the requirements of the project.  It could be as few as 4 or 5 images, sometimes several hundred.

I endeavour to use the best tool for the job, sometimes that's an APSC camera with a fixed-length prime lens.  Alternatively, when gigapixels are a requirement when size really matters,  The Hasselblad H6D100c medium format camera system with its 100mp sensor and Hasselblad’s incredibly sharp glass is the only way forward.  Sometimes the only tool for the job was the tool made by the people who built the Hubble Space Telescope for NASA.

The end result is an image for a fold-out in a magazine or promotional brochure.  Or maybe it's a web display to showcase a luxury hotel or apartment's 360-degree views.  Perhaps you are looking for a theatre backdrop or a piece for set design on your soundstage, maybe you need ultra high-resolution images for exhibitions.
Maybe you need something made for your green screen.

You may be looking to fill a space on your wall at home or office foyer. Some images will print 20 meters wide with a phenomenal amount of breathtaking detail.

I have created many panoramic images from many locations for many people ranging from The New Zealand High Commission in London to Paramount Pictures. Only one thing beats the feeling of seeing your photography on the wall and that's seeing it on the cinema screen.

No matter what it is, I have the skills to get it made.

This is a small collection of my favourite Panoramas you can pop out for a better view.

I am available for special commissions.
